Mad hatters tea party
We made some hats. They were gorgeous, so Ms Shepherd and Barbara set up a treasure hunt, (The clues were hide in really hard places) at the end, we had a mad hatters tea party. It was smashing. The cakes were lovely, but, we couldn't forget the magnifacent lolly scramble. The part we didn't like was when we had to leave. :( We couldn't believe how much fun we had. Everybody had fun swing on the monkey bars.

ROOM 6 MAD HATTERS.
"GO GREEN!" "Were here to tell you about RECYCLING all day long.
1. First of all we snuck into our parents and siblings wardrobe and took out some old clothes and stuffed them into our school bags.
2. We pleaded, snuck and stole some cardboard from other teachers for our bases of our hats, we are trying to create.
3. We shaped and measured our hats to ft our heads. Then we got more cardboard and we drew the shape that we wanted for our rim. Then we placed the rim on our hats and drew a circle on the inside of our hats.Next we drew a smaller cycle inside the small cycle. After that we drew a few lines connecting the two smallest cycle together.
4. Then we carefully cut down the lines and fold ed the lines down.Next we got the base of the hats and the rim and then stapled it together.
5. Now back to the cloths we stole. We gathered some of the stolen materials we would like to use. We started by cutting the material up into small enough piece's to stick on. Our citerias were, NO white is to be shown, It MUST cover your face and neck and it MUST have something soft in the inside to stop the cardboard from hurting you.
6. We mixed PVA glue to splatter piece's of material onto our hats.
7. We stuck on our details with hot glue. We were careful not to burn our fingers. ( But Babara did most of the gluing.) Some of our details were Pipe cleaners, Wool, Fluff, Bows and fake flowers.
Now we have finished the steps we will tell you the real reason why we made these hats. We made them to have a Mad Hatters Tea Party. At the Mad Hatters Tea Party we had a treasure hunt which lead us to the picnic area. We used instruments as cups funny shaped cup cakes, Chips with orange Raro for a drink.
At the end we did something we would never forget: a huge lolly scramble. Then Ms Shepherd came up with a brilliant idea to enter our hats in the purple cake competition next year. Look out for us :)

the amazzzing hats and the mad hatters tea party.
The classroom had to make hats out of old materials first Mrs
Shepherd and Barbara got some cardboard and stapled them to size for our heads. We designed what our hats would look like. We needed to make sure that we were protected from the sun. Then we covered them with the old materials from clothes, curtains from top to bottom. Once we had all finished our hats we had a Mad Hatters Tea Party at the back of the field to celabrate the end of the year.
Barbara and Mrs Shepherd organised it for us it was great fun!!!
